How did our study of propaganda and doublespeak impact your thinking about reality? What questions did this study raise for you ? Doublespeak is form of speaking in different forms it often presents information that is given to an audience. When using propaganda it's a way to depict information on a piece of paper. Often both of these tools are you to manipulate the way one thinks, often serving it purpose. This makes me wonder how often is this used in order to manipulate the way a whole population thinks and make decisions. This clearly then make a impact on reality because it's not much of a reality when its affected by many manipulations.

What was the most disturbing prediction in the Singularity reading and why? The most disturbing part I have read was the fact that many jobs in the future will be running on machines and will not need people to be employed. I guess it is kinda scary and very mind opening about how the future we looked like, and the future is so close yet so far to be experienced.
In what way was the job fair/interview process authentic? How could it be made more authentic? What did you learn about yourself through the process? It actually felt as if you were going to be interviewed for a job for real because the questions the producers asked were based off on what your abilities you have on your job and the whole goal is to get them to higher you for their project but it was definitely a great experience for us to be placed in different jobs.
Does advertising shape or reflect our society? Should there be stricter regulations on advertisers? If so, what restrictions should there be? There is adverting in about everything and everywhere we go, from what cereal we buy to seeing billboards of the newest car that has been created. I think it really does have a great impact on our society because many of the times we are so accustomed to being influenced by these advertisements that now its just a norm. Regulations on advertising shouldn't be a thing, only because I think that it should be common sense to realize what is it we're buying and not be so ignorant into what we do buy. We should be taught to not believe in everything we see and hear.

What celebrations do you have for this week? So far Savanah and I have a working UI menu! but we do no have the video inserted in our project.. yet. We are hoping that on Tuesday on the first of November we will be able to play our 360 degree video, this is actually Harder than we thought especially because we are not super experienced and the videos that unity provides for us on youtube are not what we are looking for. I know what you are thinking.. Youthing that you just simply upload a file on to the program and you can simply play the video. That is not the case Unity if far more complicated than I thought you really have to get the programming and be very specific with in the program options with what you want to do. I hope that this will help me out in the future.
Cognitive dissonance is when you encounter a situation that is contrary to your world view of how things "should" work. When this happens, your brain will struggle with how to make sense of this contradiction and you can feel stressed, frustrated, and possibly depressed. Describe a time you have experienced cognitive dissonance during this project. How did you deal with it? Ohhhh the many situations I was in while feeling "Cognitive dissonance", Unity is a pain to be working with as I have mentioned before and just know we are basically teaching ourselves how to use the program and helping the people that are in our guilds on problems they might have. It's all a matter of trial and error, we learn when our projects get completely deleted and start over but this is just the many of other problems I have had.
How did your opinion of hashtag activism change/shift/evolve over the course of the week? Which one of the readings did you find most convincing

How can we share our VR worlds at the Maker Faire on Dec 3? Be specific. How will you succinctly describe the process of developing VR content? How will a passerby experience our VR worlds? What can a participant take away from our booth that would help them develop their own VR content? How will you communicate the bigger picture issues you investigated? E.g., what is reality? How do we develop/recognize biases? Definitely use the ads that we will publish, and have a gallery located where people come in. Just like in the real world people will read the advertisement and go to the project according to the one they thought was most interesting. The ad would have a number directing them to that ads project. This would be very neat. The process of developing Virtual Reality content I would describe it as; time consuming, frustrating, failing but also learning upon your mistakes. These supplements also depend on what your job was. For example, as i have said in the previous blog posts, I am a Programmer. And although I feel like ripping out my hair once in awhile, I try to go about the project to the best of my ability especially because no one is really teaching us how to do these skills, of course we have a teacher that helps us out once in awhile but there are some points of the project where the question ask by a student to a teacher is sometimes relatively new to the teacher as it is to you. So in reality you would have to learn on your own with Youtube being your only resource.. but of course unless you can get in contact with a Virtual Reality video game developer. Youtube oftentimes does not have specific videos for creating a virtual reality world because Virtual Reality is still new to video game developers in 2016. Now when a passerby experience our Virtual Reality Worlds it will probably not be as expected, just because we made most components from scratch. That is why you also have to keep in mind that we are high schoolers working on a project that has never been done before at least in other high schools, and we are not experienced VR builders. But I definitely hope people see the beauty in our project and see the true purpose for this project.
Provide a brief summary of Dewey’s ideas. Where in the VR project do you see Dewey’s ideas being implemented? Where could they be better implemented? John Dewey (1859-1952) was arguably the most influential voice in twentieth-century because of his beliefs of American education. Basically Dewey's idea in education was that students shouldn't just be studying off of textbooks or have a teacher give lectures, as he called it "Basic Education". The was he preferred it very much sounded like our schools was of learning, as a project based learning school.
Provide a brief summary of Pink’s argument about motivation. What would this look like in the school setting? Exactly how our school's idea of learning is now, through hands on experiences.
