This project is based on circuitry and knowing the basics of lighting a light bulb. Ms. Nicole put us in groups of four and we worked together as a team to make a dance pad that fully functions. Our group name is the "000HK1LL3MZ" I had Mitchel, Katrina, and Makena in my group we got along very well. For the Dance pad materials we used was: cardboard (for the base), duct tape (for the decorations), a pair of AA batteries, two alligator clippers, light bulb, aluminum foil, and a spring (for the pushing motion). I think our dance pad came out very well, it functions perfectly and decorated neatly in my opinion. The hard part of the project was the light bulb not lighting when stepped on so we had to go back and take it all apart to see was was going on. Another challenge was the flaps of the pads were loose until I came up with putting duct tape in the corner to make the flap not fall back. Over all the project was very well put and I recommend this project to the incoming 9th Graders. Our dancer was Ms. Laura she is in the picture above. She is already an experienced zumba dancer so I think we were lucky to have her. Finally when the announced the winner I somehow already knew we were going to win and we did! My group and I were happy because we had a pregnant teacher and pulled it off well.
